Susanne Hogan, dsi Founder and President, has been named a 2015 Emerging Leader by the United States Small Business Administration. This program is designed to provide executive-level training series in 48 cities and communities across the country.
“The Emerging Leaders Program is a resource that can open lucrative doors for America’s small businesses,” said SBA Administrator Maria Contreras-Sweet. “The addition of over 20 new cities in 2015 will help serve even more entrepreneurs. Graduates of the initiative have measurably increased their revenue, and helped create jobs and drive economic growth in their local communities.”
Founding dsi Associates in 1993, Susanne Hogan has over 20 years of professional experience successfully managing all aspects of construction for large public sector projects. Hogan combines years of professional experience and relationship-building with a keen level of governmental insight to specialize in helming complex, technical projects in the Chicagoland area, a market where utilizing those skills to assess and coordinate large-scale infrastructure investments is paramount. Hogan oversees a $150 million dollar annual construction management portfolio, helping design new industry management controls to mitigate risk while minimizing waste through concise decision-making reports.
Prior to founding dsi, Hogan led efforts of Illinois businesses in addressing implementation of the Clean Air Act Amendments, helped define a siting program for high-level nuclear waste, participated in the establishment of a National Energy Policy and Cabinet-level Department of Energy, and participated in the site acquisition, design, and construction of the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory.
A White House Special Achievement Award recipient and Hispanic American Construction Industry Member of the Year, Hogan is an Adjunct Professor in the Economics Department of Lewis University.
Hogan received her Master of Management from Northwestern University and her Bachelor of Arts from Lewis University.
