Project Detail

The O’Hare Modernization Program (OMP) is Mayor Richard M. Daley’s vision for building a 21st century airport at O’Hare.  It is the largest construction project in the country at one of the world’s busiest airports.  The OMP is transforming O’Hare International Airport’s airfield from a system of intersecting runways into a modern parallel runway configuration, to reduce flight delays and increase capacity well into the future.

As part of the OMP, Chicago Aviation Runway Designers (CARD) is currently managing Runway 9R/27L and associated taxiways.

Construction Project Management

dsi provides construction management, project scheduling, and design services support as part of the CARD assignment related to the O’Hare Modernization Program.

Specifically, dsi provides technical and management meeting coordination and documentation; coordinates and integrates specifications (including preparation of specification lists, formatting of specs, submittal modifications, coordination of pay items between specs and estimate, preparation of specs for QA/QC review, incorporation of OMP comments for technical and non-technical matters, and coordination of OMP comments on technical matters and printing specs for submission); preparation and coordination of RFI’s; and providing schedule updates and associated narratives.
