Harris Bank’s Vision 2002 Program calls for the bank to triple its earnings, income and distribution network by the year 2002. In response to this mandate, Harris will build approximately 26 branches in 1995-96.
One of the Chicago area’s leading banking institutions, Harris has put together an innovative building program that emphasizes motivated design/build teams, minority and woman-owned business participation, community involvement, and customer convenience.
dsi has developed a project management information system for Harris Bank’s Vision 2002 program.
Project Reporting and Information
The system developed by dsi serves as a status reporting system, providing summary information for high-level Harris executive management personnel and detailed cost, schedule, and other project information for Harris project staff. This system allows Harris management to remain fully informed on project status and resolve potential problems prior to experiencing costly delays in this aggressive building program.
This information system is based upon dsi’s extensive work with construction programs that involve a number of new and renovated facilities occurring concurrently. dsi’s ability to provide both high-level summary information and detailed project-specific data from a comprehensive data base allows clients such as Harris Bank to successfully maintain construction and operational plans by delivering new facilities on time and within budget.
